Beshert Child Safety Standards

1. Zero tolerance

Beshert (the "App," operated by Sean Arenson, based in South Africa) has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) of any kind. Beshert is an 18+ dating app and is not designed, marketed, or intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. Any account found to be operated by, targeting, or exploiting a minor will be removed immediately, and reported to the relevant authorities where required by law.

2. Age requirements

Users must confirm they are 18 or older when creating an account. Date of birth is required at sign-up and validated to ensure the user meets the minimum age, both on the client and at the database level. If we become aware that an account belongs to someone under 18, we permanently remove that account and any associated content.

3. Prevention and detection measures

• Photo verification — users can optionally verify their profile with a live selfie, manually reviewed by our team before a Verified badge is granted.
• Reporting and blocking — every user can report or block another user directly from a profile, match, or conversation. Reports are queued for review by our admin team.
• Admin review queue — reported accounts and content are reviewed by a human moderator, who can warn, suspend, or permanently ban an account.
• Manual account removal — accounts found to violate this policy, including any suspected CSAE activity, are removed without prior warning.

4. How to report a child safety concern

If you encounter content or behavior on Beshert that concerns you regarding child safety, you can:

• Use the in-app Report option available on any profile, match, or message, or
• Email us directly at support@beshert.co.za with as much detail as possible.

We review every report and, where a report indicates apparent CSAE, we act promptly to remove the content or account and, where required by applicable law, report it to the relevant national authority or law enforcement (for example, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) in the United States, or the equivalent authority in the user's jurisdiction).
